Guide rods, which are correctly dimensioned and suitably used and positioned in the construction do not require special monitoring or maintenance. It is, however, necessary to protect them against dust, water, and harsh environmental conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In combination with the ball screw and suitable drive, they may form the basic motion unit construction of all sorts of machinery and equipment.
